Assessor Repair Manager - Property Insurance Repairs
Australia (Hybrid role - Field/Office/Remote) 
 

Who We’re After

We are seeking Estimator/Supervisors to join our team.  This job will be to inspect, write and review property reports and estimates as well supervise the repair process including responsibility for site safety and repair progress.

This is an opportunity for a move to a fulfilling role where you will ensure quality construction and high customer service standards are achieved on every claim.

Experience with estimating and/or supervision is a must and time in an insurance building company is preferred, but not essential for the right candidate.

About You

  • Strong knowledge and experience with insurance related estimating

  • In-field Supervision and ‘on-tools’ experience

  • Strong negotiation skills, project plan, budgeting and trade coordination skills

  • Comfortable communicating with contractors on the phone and via email to revise and improve detail in scope and estimates.

  • Comfortable with a digital-first approach

  • Results orientation – Demonstrating urgency, desire to accomplish, and balancing short / long-term goals.

  • Problem solving – Methodical approach, involving others as needed, committing to action while maintaining sound judgement.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect property damage, write and review inspection reports and estimates

  • Coordinate & supervise construction work to ensure quality and compliance

  • Regular communication with customers to ensure high levels of customer service

  • Work with trades to ensure performance is being met across time, quality, and cost measures.

 

Requirements

  • Experience with construction estimating.

  • Estimating experience in insurance mitigation/reconstruction industry.

  • Knowledge of current construction industry standards.

  • A builder’s license, supervisor licence is advantageous, however not essential.

  • In-field experience
