National Construction Manager - Insurance
Australia (Hybrid role - Field/Office/Remote)
Who We’re After
We are seeking a Construction Manager to join our Australian leadership team. This role will work in partnership with our General Manager of Australia to ensure handdii delivers quality construction services to the insurance industry in Australia.
As a licensed builder with insurance industry experience you will lead the transition of handdii as a contractor managed software platform to become a typical principal insurer builder leveraging best-in-class technology.
This is an opportunity to help build our team and implement an operational construction methodology to ensure construction compliance and excellence with our major insurance customers.
About You

An experienced builder with Construction Management experience

Strong knowledge and experience within insurance mitigation/reconstruction industry

Strong communication and negotiation skills, project plan, budgeting and trade coordination skills

Comfortable with a digital-first approach

Results orientation – Demonstrating urgency, desire to accomplish, and balancing short / long-term goals.

Problem solving – Methodical approach, involving others as needed, committing to action while maintaining sound judgement.
Responsibilities

Ensure accurate Estimating and adequate Supervision across all works

Engage and oversee Estimator/Supervisor function across the company

Obtain and maintain handdii’s builder’s license in each state

Ensure WHS compliance across the company

Communicate with trade network at induction, ToolBox talks etc to ensure robust adherence by trades to company policies and procedures
Requirements

Experience with Construction Management

Builder’s License with willingness to obtain mutual recognition in all states

Experience in insurance mitigation/reconstruction industry

Strong knowledge of current construction industry standards

Strong WHS compliance knowledge
