What You'll Do

• Build and maintain highly scalable cloud-based software applications with Elixir, PostgreSQL, GraphQL and AWS serverless technologies

• Build and integrate APIs into Single-Page Applications (SPA) securely

• Improve complex processes and systems to make them more robust and automated

• Collaborate with the rest of the product development team to scope and implement new features

• Participate in the full, iterative software development lifecycle: analysis, design, code, test, release

What You'll Need

• 3+ years of professional experience building and maintaining scalable applications

• Ability to develop, test, and deploy applications in two of the following languages: Golang, Elixir, Ruby, or Python; Must be able to demonstrate clean, concise code

• Experience with a back-end framework: Rails, Phoenix, etc., a front-end framework: React, Angular, Vue, etc.

• Experience across the full web stack including DOM, HTML, and CSS

• Experience building APIs following best practices especially around authorization and authentication; GraphQL a plus

• Experience with unit, functional, and automated testing; TDD/BDD experience a plus

• Experience working with relational and/or non-relational databases including data migration, transformation, and scripting

• Experience working in the AWS cloud; AWS serverless experience a plus

• Experience with agile engineering practices: Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD, etc.

• Experience with Git

• Proficient understanding web security principles: OWASP, CORS, CSP

• Strong written and communication skills
